Third grade, I'm pretty sure, and I really wish I had this in color, because that is a tie-dyed clown face t-shirt. David said, "What made your hair look like that?" A crimping iron, sir, and if I still had one my hair would be looking like that every day.

Remember glamour photos??? They were really great at making girls look like child prostitutes.

Glamour photo session:  12 years old.  My aunt hosted the party, and my whole family had them done.  I was super-psyched because it was on the same Saturday as my first school dance, which meant I had a HOT hairstyle to wear that would make all my friends jealous.  Too bad I couldn’t also wear the black lace glove.

What, no feathers, you ask?   Worry no more, friends!!

Glamour isn't glamour without the feathers.

And just so you know, these are a little blurry not only because they have been re-photographed, but also because the photographer used the “soft lens.”  Because soft lens+ feathers is as glam as it gets.

And when I say my whole family had them done, I meant it.  Including my grandmother, Gennie Vee, who looks very German in this picture.  And very much like Mrs. Doubtfire (she herself has admitted):

I love you, Grandma.
